Infinite possibilities as well as sadness

Today was my first day back at work after my friend Laura came to visit me. I am very grateful that she came to visit. Its something that I definitely needed and I think she did too. I hope she had a great time. I think she did on the first day we went to San Francisco with Cindy, another friend of mine who was in town. We went to Hait and Ashbury or something like that. its a famous hippy area. My father knew what it was so it must go back to the 60s. We also went to Japantown and ate sushi.

Monday we went to Santa Cruz Boardwalk, ate fish and chips on the boardwalk and looked for sea lions. Laura got a chance to show her skills for taking pictures of kids. She is good man. Then we went to Monterey, but could not afford to go to the $22 aquarium so we walked around and took a nap on the hill by the beach in the sun. It was very relaxing. We talked about photography and if I will ever get a job in photo. She seems not to be worried. I guess some of us are just born with the condition. She is going to Korea for a year on a Fulbright so I guess her future is kind of bright that I need sunglasses. I also found out that a person that I do not necessarily get along with got a job and I do not even particulariy see this person as talented, but they are dedicated to the field so I guess that is good.

This is the photo that almost cost Laura and I our life. I was taking a picture of the lights and I told Laura to steer. I guess I forgot to say also be my eyes cause I am totally not looking at the road. Laura yelled Kim!?!?! and I slammed on my brakes. IT was kind of an adrenaline rush. But it would have been real dumb if I did wreck and I would have been pissed and not seen it as an adrenaline rush.

This last photo is just a bonus. Probably something that will never get published but I think a better representation of what I see and what beauty is. I hate that my photos never really make it to the public eye. I guess I have to have a gallery showing. I will work that out. I took this this past friday at a cheesy salsa expedition. There were a lot of talented salsa dancers there including this couple. There were also a lot of people that were out to just get drunk and dance. oh well. Dance if you must. Just don't make a fuss when I leave you in my dust. I could be a rapper. I am telling you I am the next girl rappa. You can just call me "Little Mama" :0P Right I am listening to I am beautiful by Christina Aguilera. It is cracking me up and writing this at the same time. Smile :0)
